An Executive Committee meeting of the CRES Amateur Radio Club was held at the Donatos Pizza, Reynoldsburg, on Thursday 22 May 2003. The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM by President David Jeffords/K8ON. The meeting was attended by K8ON, VP KC8TM, Sec/Treas KD8WK, Equip Mgr KB8DEO, Station Trustee NV7X, Contest Coordinator K9RV, VE Liaison KD8ZG, Immediate Past President WD8EBS, and members K8RSP, K8AX, and KD8BJ. Dave Woolf/K8RSP reported that a total of $612 worth of tubes from the club's stockpile have been sold to date: $117 to club members, $140 at Mansfield, and $355 at the Hamvention last weekend. The club netted $234 from the Hamvention, after expenses, including $19 from donations from club member's private sales. He estimated that 10-20 club members stopped by the booth last weekend, including Jim Hanlon/W8KGI from Arizona. The date of the next general meeting was set at Wednesday, June 11th, as favored by the club members at the last general meeting. Jack Kirkpatrick/KC8TM will reserve a meeting place for that evening. It is expected most of the discussion will concern Field Day, so no program is planned. The rest of the meeting concerned Field Day planning: + After much discussion on potential locations, the executive board voted to take Mike Rauh/NV7X up on his offer to use his property for this year's club Field Day site. + K8ON indicated Dwayne Trego/N8KDY offered to provide a generator. Additionally, the club will price renting a generator for the event. + After much discussion, it was decided to set up the stations using the existing facilities at NV7X's house: Renting a truck or trailer was nixed because it might cause ruts in the soil at Mikes. Instead, the garage will house one station, and the side porch the other. + K8RSP will provide a TS-430S rig for voice, and Art Grandle/KD8ZG a TS-520S rig for CW. K8ON will bring a rig to use as a spare. + K8RSP and Dave Brown/K8AX will provide power supplies. + Mike Stansbery/WD8EBS confirmed that we can have a PSK and VHF/UHF station on the air in addition to our HF stations without affecting our class 2A operations. Mike indicated he can provide the PSK station. Jerry Scott/K9RV will coordinate the VHF/UHF station. + K8RSP and KC8TM will provide computers for logging. + K8ON will be responsible for issuing the press release and reporting our results to the ARRL. + The club will provide munchies, burgers and soft drinks for the operators, and will host a cookout Saturday afternoon for participants and their interested friends and families. Attendees are encouraged to bring other potluck food items if they desire. + At the general meeting on June 11th, the excomm will ask the membership to approve an allocation of up to $150 for Field Day expenses. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 PM. Respectfully submitted, Rob Stampfli/KD8WK CRES-ARC Sec/Treas
